We'd appreciate if people would stop writing in and asking when KPHL and other feeds will be back up.  This site hosts a large number of feeds and we're frequently (read, most often) not in control of any of the feeds.  We also don't support people pestering the feeders with silly questions like "why has the feed been down for so long?"  This site is supported by volunteers who owe you nothing.  They do the work to get their feeds online and to ensure the feed stays up as much as possible.  Many real-life things get in the way of 24/7/365 coverage.  The uptime that most feeds enjoy is amazing.  We do everything in our power "up front" to weed out the flaky people or potentially flaky feeds.  We don't always succeed.  And we don't control things like network outages and equipment/power failures.

It takes a lot of work and effort to keep these feeds and the supporting systems up for everyone to enjoy.  Donations help.  Whiny emails don't help.  smiley  We like to try and stay focused on improving the site, uptime, and growing worldwide coverage.  So if you don't get a response to your email asking when a feed will be back up, don't be insulted.  Now at least you'll understand why.

thanks,
dave
