Air India Express 737 sent into a terrifying 7,000-foot plunge
« on: December 02, 2010, 12:25:44 PM »
The co-pilot of an Air India Express 737 sent the jetliner into a terrifying 7,000-foot plunge in May when he accidentally hit the control column while adjusting his seat, investigators report.

Anyone hear about this one? How could this happen?

It's known that with excessive controls input the autopilot will disengage, or when you have controls input for a period of time... So fighting his seat (they are small people) he held himself to the yaw and maybe while he was moving the seat front or backwards the airplane descended until he released the seat handle and it got locked into the rail it glides in again... Give him an email for futher details..
