From time to time I come across websites that say something like this:
"Audio and Video is delayed about 5 minutes in accordance with United States Federal Regulations"

These are typically mode-s / radar sites / ATC comms.

I have looked long and hard for the "Federal Regulation" regarding this, is it a real regulation or just some BS that makes someone feel good??

Please point to to the CFR # that contains such a regulation.

Thanks
George

Thanks, that makes more sense. I hate when a website makes a law out of something that is not...

Thanks

Thanks SWA4678 for the info on the flight delay. The entire Agreement Memorandum for class two users
(i.e. FlightAware and others) can be read by going to the fly.faa.gov site, or type in your browser "asdi class two".
Its a PDF file. Make sure you look at the Ver 1.4A file. The 5 minute or more delay information is on page 2 of the 13 page agreement.
