Alitalia 611 diverted back to jfk on may 16th

its wierd because there flight path on flight aware shows alitalia northeast of boston turning around and coming all the way back to jfk

I worked that night & I recall it vaguely. Honestly, we get a ton of returnees each year. It was nothing too dramatic or it would have stood out. I do remember being awfully busy that night because of storms in the NY area.
