At 8 PM/ET, NBC News will air Tom Brokaw's award-winning report, "America Remembers: 9/11 Controllers," featuring Brokaw's exclusive interview with 20 air traffic controllers from around the country who handled the hijacked planes on September 11th, 2001. On the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks, this special report broadcast these controllers speaking out for the first time about how they discovered the terrorist plot, as it was unfolding and struggled to contain it.

The transcript is very similar (if not identical) to what is shown in the film United 93, which is a very good film btw.

For those who have seen the doco "Near Miss", shown may years ago now, you may remember the NY TRACON controller (JFK Area) called Dean Yacepelli who was interviewed. Its interesting to see his name in the transcripts.

Also, be advised that the entire broadcast is also displayed on MSNBC video, broken down into 5 parts.  You can view these parts by clicking the links inside the "VIDEOS" table which is located on the right side of the transcript page. 

The broadcast shows video clips inside N90 (NY TRACON), EWR Tower, ZNY, ZBW, and ZOB, in addition to the interviews with 20 or so controllers.
