In the meantime, try using StreamFurious.  It's what I use right now on my Nexus One.

I really think Us blackberry users deserve a Dedicated App first. I work at Bradley as a Ramp agent and It is handy because I can listen and hear when we have a flight incoming. I have tryed all the streaming methods and they dont like working on my BB curve. Another thing to note for the development of the Android LiveATC app is the Droid only has 256mbs of Storage for Apps and texts and the address book. After it is filled you can not recieve texts. The 16gb installed memory is for Music movies and pictures only. I switched to the droid for a day and I went back to my Blackberry Curve.

From what I can understand it's more difficult to develop apps for the BB than iPhone or Android OS.  I think Dave's gone over this before and he'd like to provide a BB app, but it's just not that simple.  He knows how many BB users the site has and how much we (I'm one of them) would appreciate a dedicated app, so I'm sure if and when he can he'll get one out.

In the meantime, I've actually found I can go straight to the site on my Tour and use the "media player" option to stream directly from the site.  This is nice because I can find any feed and listen to it.  The variety this affords has led me to set the Top 50 page as my browser's home page.  I also have some of my more favorite feeds set up in moodio.fm.

when i use native media player it seems to get hung up after about 30 secs of playing on my curve. I followed your suggestion to try "moodio" (now yourmuze.fm). This is working great. Listened for over 10 minutes with no issues.

Doesn't seem like we need a dedicated app? Or do we? I could be missing something.

There will be a dedicated app anyway - people seem to want it.  A mobile version of the site will launch soon - that will make feed selection and navigation simpler, while still leveraging the built-in player on Android 2.0 and greater.  Android 1.5 is spotty since the media player in 1.5 doesn't seem to handle MP3 streams - but it seems to depend in phone model.

More news once it launches.

Having had a BlackBerry Curve 8330 before switching to the Droid Incredible, I have to disagree with you 100%.  BlackBerry is crap, at least until the new OS 6 is released.  I would hate to see LiveATC staff wasting time on that stupid BlackBerry OS.

I do hope that the Android app will allow playing in the background while we use other apps.  So glad to hear that an Android app is in the works.  Smiley  Thank you!

The app development is still in process.  I will make an announcement about general availability when it happens.
