Any Cleveland Center high/low coverage?
« on: March 24, 2016, 06:36:58 AM »
I'm listening to flights going west from the east coast, and can't find any frequencies that cover high/low for Cleveland Center. Are there are station feeds available? I see coverage for some airports in Ohio but nothing for high/low frequencies. Thank you and sorry for another topic!

Unfortunately there currently does not appear to be any Cleveland Center coverage on Liveatc.

A year or two ago we had one feed provider who gave us a number of the Cleveland Center frequencies.
He had to stop the feed. It is a bit surprising we haven't been able to get at least a few Cleveland Center
feeds. Just a suggestion for anyone who might have airport feeds in the Cleveland Center coverage area,
if they added just one or two center frequencies in their area (either high or low) it would help. Hopefully
we can get some dedicated Center feeds in the future.

If it helps at all with these new Cleveland feeds attached below is my latest ZOB High Altitude chart for reference. (must be logged on to see them). All frequencies have been confirmed from recent monitoring.

I'm still trying to verify how Sector 02 and Sector 07 work. Sector 02, 128.62, is a low sector that primarily works DTW departures but will clear traffic to final their cruising altitude without handing them off to 127.67, which leads to to believe that these sectors are usually combined, or they do it with an LOA procedure ? Can anyone confirm if the same controller is usually working 128.62 and 127.67 ?

Other notes:

Sector 58 - 121.07 is an ultra high sector FL380 and above.  I've never heard this sector work traffic but whenever I've checked the controller on 119.72 has been simulcasting on 121.07. Good to know if any of the new feed's can pick the ground side of 121.07

Cleveland uses frequency cross-coupling (noted with "xc" on the chart) on many if not all (?) their paired frequencies/sectors as required.

Sector 45 and 46 usually seem to be combined, with 135.375 used for area coverage in the west part of the area, controller simulcasting on both frequencies (noted with "sc" on the chart).

Any additional info or corrections always appreciated.
