Anybody in here listen to their family members?
« on: May 24, 2009, 06:02:32 AM »
Just wondering - how many people here have family members who are pilots that they've heard talking over the feeds?

In my case, my dad's a Captain with World Airways who's been flying MD-11's for the past 17 years.  I love coming to this site to hear him live as he's arriving to his destination.  I usually just listen in when he's the PNF doing the radio calls.

I listen to myself, does that count?  :P

That's cool that you can listen to your dad.

I've tuned into myself a couple times before, after either making/receiving a joke, or just an odd clearance.

My dad used to tune in to listen to me whenever I flew into a covered airport

I make it a point to mark the time down if I fly into someplace that has a feed. so my kids can listen to the archive. I have a fairly distinctive radio voice so they can readily recognize me

My wife listens to me when I return to my home base KSCH. She knows to start dinner when I land   :-D
