Archive Retrieval down?
« on: July 25, 2007, 10:06:16 PM »
My first post

Trying to retrieve data from my Saturday Monday flight through Potomac airspace.  Flights I am interested in are:

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N1943L/history/20070721/1820Z/KBKW/KDMW
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N1943L/history/20070723/1144Z/KDMW/KBKW

When I select the date and time, I get 30 second time out error in both Opera and MSIE 7.0

I tried all four Potomac approaches and even selected a random tower to no avail.

Any ideas or is something broke

Second question, how does one figure out which Patomac Approach to select?  I would love to be able to hear myself picking up my IFR clearance as I did it in the air.

Thanks!!!!

Allen

When you picked up your IFR you were in the BWI feed area.  For some reason 125.52 does not feed as advertised, and that was the sector you got your clearance from.  I think the other Potomac feed is out of CHO.  I remember giving an IFR pickup out of DMW the other day, it might have been me on the radio.

Oh kewl.

I munged my readback.  I was given V166 MRB V143 MOL V260 RNL and I missed V260 as 26.

Considering I live in the land of direct, that was the longest readback I ever had so I didn't feel too bad!

Dang Evers MOA must have been hot as I filed EMI V166 MRB direct BKW as you can see, was approved on my way up.

What about 120.45 or 132.85 as I was handed off on those southbound?  On my north bound I was also on 126.07 as well as 120.45 and 132.85.

Any chance of me being heard in the archives?

123.85 is available on the CHO feed if you used that.

No such luck.  Went from Potomac to Washingon Center to Charleston Approach.  Last Potomac approach frequency I was on was 132.85.

Durn was really looking forward to hearing myself LOL

However, still problem with retrieving archives that maybe somebody needs to look at.

The only Potomac archive that works is BWI Balt/Wash Intl.  The ones listed with individual sectors or tower only do not work.  Once we handed you off westbound you were talking to the guys on the Dulles side, and there is no feed for them (yet).  If I lived closer to Dulles, I would try it.  I live too far from the airport to hear ATC.

'preciate your replies!  Give y'all the credit in the world.  http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1324/866256686_6c4a2ec71e_o.gif and there is lil ole me in the blue.

Not much wake turbulence behind me LOL  Wall to wall traffic on the radio, something that just doesn't happen down my way.

Created a video to the song of Fly Like an Eagle of this journey at if you are interested in what I saw from the inside out.

Other aviation related videos are at http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=BeechSundowner to many different songs.

Can you tell I like to fly LOL
