Arrival Rate
« on: December 16, 2007, 04:53:48 PM »
Hey guys,

Can anybody who knows, please enlighten me as to how arrival rates are calculated?

Is it done for individual runways and then the sum is the total rate? Is it an approximation of how long an average aircraft takes to travel the minimum separation distance?

Also, if anybody has some example figures, for say LAX or LAS etc, could they let me know.

Cheers.

David.

For more specifics, go to:
www.fly.faa.gov/ois
on the left select either "East Directory" or "West Directory", then an ARTCC, then an airport, and it lists the arrival rates for the major airports with their configurations.
