ATC communications

Who do you think goes above and beyond the call of duty..... Any controller appreciates a greeting or a thank you.... What airlines pilots best represent that courtesy and professionalism?

Sorry, I'd have to go with none of the above, as Cape Air beats them all, hands down. ;)

yeah, i think it kind of depends on the pilot, not the airlines they work for. general aviation pilots can be very friendly on the radio, or not. i think the same goes for controllers too. both pilots and controllers have a very heavy work load so im sure both sides understand that.

There's things I'd rather have from a pilot then a cheerful "good day". At times a pilot will say something like "see ya tomorrow" or "we'll see you in a few hours" and I wanted to reply: "thanks for the warning".

Haha, you should do that.  That will brighten a pilot's day

I listen to the Mountain Air flights coming in (local FedEx feeder). They fly in late but even with the late hour and I'm sure the repetitive nature of their work they're always courteous and pretty laid back.

I have a hard time imagining that one company will be more courteous than any other, in general. There are pilots will all sorts of personalities at all of the airlines.

Agreed.

Say Joe Pilot who flies for ABC Express Airlines flies into KATL on Monday, having a great day, Flying the airlines newest and nicest airplane, cheerful on the radio, and so on.  :-D

Tuesday, he flies into KATL again. Only he's having a bad day, his wife yelled at him, he's flying the oldest airplane in the fleet with several items are inop and on the deferred list, he's just not in a good mood. He's snappy and short on the radio.  :x

My point is, it's based on the individual, and even the type of day they are having, as to how nice/polite/joking they will be on the radio. I don't think you can say so and so's pilots are nicer on the radio.
