EHAM / Amsterdam feed

Hi,

With the help of Dave I will be able to provide a second Amsterdam feed.

This feed will probably be dedicated to one or two frequencies only, and will cover the ground / controller side aswell.

I just would like to know which frequency would be preferred by the listeners,
please let me know and I will try to get that frequency in the feed.

Hello Dutch,

What ground-side frequencies can you hear?  I assume you can hear most if not all of the ground transmissions from EHAM, but out of curiosity, can you hear the ground side of any enroute frequencies?

Hi Ron,

I can hear all ground transmissions from Amsterdam, the only enroute frequencies with ground-side
are Amsterdam radar frequencies. They control the civil airspace here in the Netherlands up to FL. 245.

The Area Control Centre (ACC Amsterdam) is located at Schiphol-Oost, and their antenna park aswell.

the only enroute frequencies with ground-side are Amsterdam radar frequencies.

So you can't get the ground side of the Maastricht frequencies used above FL245 overhead the AMS area ?

135.960 = FL250 to FL340
132.085 = FL350 and above

That would be interesting to listen to. Are there a lot of airband scanners over there that are compatible with 8.33 kHz spacing ?

No sorry, I dont receive the Maastricht / Eurocontrol frequencies. In the past they
used some remote antenna's at Schiphol and sometimes a few frequencies were heard.

Still open for suggestions for frequencies for the second EHAM feed

If it was me I'd use the second radio to relieve some of the congestion you have on your feed now. Split off the two departure frequencies (119.050 and 121.200) onto the new radio and keep what's left on the one you have now.

Okay, thanks for your suggestion. Yes, I will dedicate one feed to either app/dep frequencies or ground/tower frequencies.

The original feed will still carry the Amsterdam radar center frequencies, as I prefer listening to those myself

Right now I m still struggling getting the Raspberry PI connected to the Intenet, but I hope the second feed
will be going up soon ..... for the moment I am feeding Schiphol app/dep during the daytime hours (0800-2200z),
and switch to center frequencies plus app/dep/tower during the nighttime hours.
