Why did you delete the post about the JFK controller Arnie being in a bad mood? What is going on here?

I think they want controller names omitted from now on. It was listed on the "behavior on this site" thread. Its out of respect for the ATC's.

I decided that controller names do not belong here.  Funny things that happen on the air, etc., are fine - there is no need to identify people.  It serves no purpose.

As the owner of this site, I reserve the right to delete posts I feel do not portray this community in a favorable light in the aviation community.  It has nothing at all to do with free speech or not, so don't start down that path again.  Those of you who hide behind unrevealing usernames have nothing to lose - the larger LiveATC community has everything to lose, and I don't intend on having this be anything but an admired site that exists largely as an ATC communications training resource for pilots and aspiring air traffic controllers.  Period.

Some folks need to get past making fun of other people - it also serves no purpose.  These controllers come to work every day to do a difficult job - how would you feel if someone posted to a forum every day making fun of you?  You wouldn't like it.

When you register on a forum you agree that your posts might be moderated or deleted - not sure why this comes as a surprise, really.
