Ive not heard him in ages, does anyone know if he still is controlling Boston tower?

He works in management now but you will still hear him every now and then.  He still maintains his cert there, last I knew.

I think someone posted some audio of him just this last Christmas.  Have a look in the audio forum - should be there.

I hear John once every now and then during the day.

Last time I checked he was a supervisor.

Boston John is transferring to I90 (Houston TRACON).  It is the end of an era!

Best of luck to John in his new job...not sure when he starts.

Boston John is not going to Houston.  He will be the manager of San Juan Tower (SJU) starting mid March.

If he is "the" manager, don't bother trying to listen.  Facilty managers typically don't work traffic.

I randomly listened to the Boston feed the other day and caught him online.  What a lucky catch.  Will be sad to not hear him anymore.
