Cactus 1549 controller in the news, Congressional Hearing

US Airways 1549 congressional hearing was today and the crew and controllers gave testimony.

It's actually a good listen.  Controller Harten's testimony begins about 34 minutes in, and he gives full account of the events as he saw them.  Also good is the first officer's description of the aviation industry, about 29 minutes in.  I just hope something comes from it.

And in an interesting twist at 52:40... a congressman says he was Googling a theory from someone that this was no not being a bird strike at all  8-)

(BTW...This is what I do now to avoid studying medicine...)
