California Capitol Airshow
« on: September 10, 2010, 04:24:26 PM »
Does anybody know where I can find the frequencies for the airshow at Mather this weekend?
I know I can pick up Mather Tower from where my feed is located so I was thinking of trying to load up the frequencies.

Let me look those up. I had them from the last time I was at the airshow, and with my place just being broken into, I won't have the time to set up the feed I was looking at providing for it. KMHR is only about 3 miles from my place, so I had/have really good coverage from there. But let me see if I have the frequencies in my scanner and get back to you.

I work at NorCal Tracon right next to Mather field.  I will find out the frequencies for you tomorrow when I get to work.  That is unless someone else has found them for you by then.  Did you see the F-22 practicing today? That's all we were doing on our breaks.

Couldn't help but see it. my house sits squarely on the right base for the 22s!

But for the frequencies, you'll probably have a better list than I would. I know that the boss frequencies are VHF, but I'm sure the F18s, F16s, etc. may be using UHF. FreqOfNature helped otu a lot with the past few shows because the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels were the feature and those freqs were listed there, but I'm not sure about the F18 squadron.

On my last tour of the TRACON, I didn't remember seeing any internet accessible computer.. is there one there you could use to post them before your shift starts?

Sorry I wasn't able to get back to you guys.  I got busy at work and it totally slipped my mind.  We have a lot of training going on right now as you all probably know and I was training someone that whole day.  I hope it worked out for you all and you got to listen to it.  I didn't get to watch a whole lot of it since I was working but it sounded great.   :-D

No worries. I figured out some of them. Heard some air to air yesterday which was pretty cool. Unfortunately the feed is setup at my parents house so I couldn't mess around with it and a lot of the audio was unreadable.
