I usually like looking up questions like these on the web but I seem to be having a little issue getting info on this one. Today at PHL ATC has been assigning RWY 9R and RWY 17 Converging ILS approach.... what would be different from the converging approach to the non-converging approach especially when it looks like the runways do not intersect each other. On most days out of PHL RWY 27R and 35 are assinged for landing and these runways do intersect.....any info you have that would unclog my head would be appreciated.
