DCA FEED
« on: September 26, 2007, 08:33:29 PM »
Any chance of adding Dep(118.95,121.05,125.65) and APP(119.85 and 124.2). Lot more action to be heard other than final. My opinion it will be a great feed made even better

Except that we'll get even worse lockup than we have now.  Too busy.  I'll run it by the feeder but I fear the result will just be a mess.

Seems very staticy today and all you hear on one of the frequencies is only the controller and no planes at all. Must be simulcasting on one of the frequencies I mentioned. Not a very good setup if you only hear the controller. Tower you only hear the pilot after being handed off from the above mentioned. Shuold be set up to hear the full spectrum of DCA like BWI so the listener can get the full picture.I dont think 8 frequencies are that much of a prob !!!

We're always happy to take any kind of donations - equipment, money, etc. to help improve feed setups, especially for the busier airports.

Unfortunately fundwise I am strapped w/Christophers surgery and the pending move to FL. If it werent for those factors I would love to do so Dave. However really has anyone or yourself listened to this feed and  can really say that they enjoy it with limited action and hearing only one sided transmissions since it is a Class B.

Mike-

It was a general comment; I wasn't necessarily implying that you do so.  Everyone's situation is unique, yet you would be surprised how few donations come in to help keep things going and improve things.

Also:
1) I listen to every single feed that goes live.
2) The world is not perfect.  Some feeds should go live because there is demand, despite the fact that the feed might not be perfect.
3) Change isn't instantaneous.

Thanks,
Dave

I listened to this feed for awhile, considering the traffic volume I think it would fine with just the Tower frequency ONLY. Having 8 Potomac approach frequencies on one radio would be a total mess. It would be great to hear more Potomac sectors, but not on one radio. IMO (this has been a recording). DJ
