Getting ATC into Google Earth

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if there was anyone who could help me out.

I've seen this done before by another user; however, ATC like all of the SFO feeds/bay area,
were not included.

Can someone point me in the right direction as to how this could be done?

I don't know if this is what you want but I'll give it to you anyway.


This file will give you placemarkers for the various feeds. I just found it on the internet
and it looks totally outdated; links don't work, missing feeds etc.
It's probably the same one you had/have.

It's  fairly simple to update.

On existing placemarkers:
1) Right click the placemark
2) On the menu, go to properties and left click
3) Update the links in the 'description field'

Note: Use keyboard 'copy and paste'. Control+C=copy Control+v=paste

I use the flash links. They have a standard format:

Creating a new placemarker:

1. Go to San Francisco area and left click on the placemarker icon in the top bar.
2. Move the placemarker to SFO airport area.
3. Follow the instructions that I gave you for updating placemarkers

I think the next thing would be to get the frequency overlays incorporated into google earth.
If you are following a live flight, you would be able to see what frequency it would be going into
and act accordingly. I have only taken a cursory look at this so far. It's a fairly time consuming exercise
if you are a novice at google earth overlays like I am.
