Helo emergency in Los Angeles (Culver City) last night?

Did anyone hear about an emergency declared by a helo last night in the Culver City area? A friend lives across from Hamilton high school and  saw a helo land in the football field there, then powered down and turned all the lights off. Shortly thereafter, there were a lot of squad cars and another helo that came to the scene.

For the next 2 hours, people could be seen trying to "fix" the downed helo, which would start up and then power down again.
