Help for KLAX

I am working on trying to get a new feed running for KLAX.  Thanks to the generosity of the former feeder, Dave and others, I have most of what I think I will need either here or on its way.  Due to the difficulty of running cables in my location, I would like to use WiFi for the LAN connection.

If you have a spare WiFi card that you would be willing to donate to the cause, I would really appreciate it.  Due to interference issues, I need to use a desktop machine rather than a laptop, so I would prefer a PCI card.  A USB card may work as well.  The catch is that it does need to be a card that is supported by Linux.

If you have something that you would be willing to part with, please let me know by private message and I can look it up and see if it will be compatible.

I have a USB wireless adapter you can have. The downside is I'm on vacation and won't be back home until Jan 28th. If you're interested and haven't sourced anything by then I can send it to you. And about the linux issue, I have no idea.

The key to it being supported for Linux would be to look at the chipset for the card. There are a number of USB wireless cards supported, but instead of going by the model, look at the chipset. There is more than likely a driver for it available, but you may have to recompile the kernel to add support for it (depending on what distribution you are using, support may or may not be there).

So grab the specs, and find out what chipset you have, and that should do it.
