HF NAT-A Question
« on: April 02, 2016, 10:11:22 PM »
I`m using Android mobile LiveATC aplication. On top of aplication I have the following information:

HF NAT-A 5598/13306
Receiver location: Amherst, NH, USA: 13306.015KHZ

I woud Like you to confirm if frequency that appears after the colon is that one I am  listening at the moment.
Tks

As I have still no answer for my previous post, I will assume that the frequency that appears after the colon is the one that is active in the feed.
I have been checking and notice  the frequency 13306 is one that is permanently active. The owner of the feed should switch to 5598 in the night time as this period requires a lower frequency for HF communications between pilots and Aeronautical Stations operators,  otherwise there will be nothing to hear in HF NAT-A feed during night period.
Can you check that?
Tks

To the best of my knowledge, this feed switches between the two frequencies depending on the time of day.  The feed provider would have to confirm this but I believe that's what happens.

Have you tried listening to this feed at night to see if there is any activity?

Hi
Yes, several times at night and only once could hear communications on this feed, precisely when the frequency 5598 was visible in the feed information.
Tks
