Hi New here but have a question about PHNL
« on: January 25, 2008, 10:57:12 PM »
What happened to it? Is there anyone who lives in the area who could get the feed up again. I am willing to donate to get it because I love listening to HAL when at home here in Seattle. I love the Seatac channel(Scanner needs a larger antena then I could pick up the tower from my house) but miss good ol HNL. Any info greatly appreciated.

You might try calling the people at Flight School Hawaii to see if they'd be willing to provide a feed.   It's an awesome airport and would make a great feed, with its mix of international traffic, interisland flights, general aviation, and local color.

I'd also pony up some funds to facilitate a feed.  HNL has a special place in my heart, since I got my seaplane rating there (in the lagoon next to the reef runway) and have flown land-based planes out of there many times.

I did HAL 22 & 27 last year and had my scanner on board with me. It is so much fun being on a plane with a scanner

A PHNL feed would be awesome to have back. My dad used to fly AAL39/AAL28 a few years ago which made for fun listening. If there's a way to get the Hickam AFB frequencies setup too that'd be cool.

There is a new PHNL feed up now.  Listed under Class B feeds.
