How to Build an Antenna

Hello fellow liveatcers. I am a scanner and i was wonderinf=g how to build a  homemade antenna. What can i use and can you send me some plans for one or directions. Thanks.

For portable, strip back some normal coax cable to just the copper conductor. Use 4ft 6 inches of bare coax conductor. Leave some shield at the bottom.

Not portable, use the same antenna and run it inside with coax to your radio.

That's as good as an air band antenna as you're going to get unless you make one that's directional.
