KCMH Port Columbus
« on: December 05, 2014, 04:00:02 AM »
Has anyone volunteered to host a feed for KCMH?  I live about 22 miles from the airport so that's outside your limits but am willing to help if needed.

Thanks for volunteering...22 miles is a little too far but we're still looking for a volunteer closer to CMH.

What direction from the airport ? Just wondering if you can hear any of the Indianapolis Center controllers ? Even if you can't hear the controller a dedicated Center feed would be good.

I live in Granville - about 22 mi ESE (100) from KCMH.  Which Indianapolis frequency do you want me to check?

Looks like the closest Indianapolis Center remote transmitter (RCAG) is located near Zanesville, about 34 miles from the Granville area. So I suspect it's highly unlikely you would be able to hear the controllers ? But you never know ?

The frequencies to try are ....

124.450 - low altitude (FL230 and below)
125.075 - high altitude (FL240 to FL340)
132.825 - high altitude (FL240 to FL340)
133.775 - ultra high altitude (FL350 and above)

Even if you couldn't hear the controller but had good aircraft reception I would find a the feed covering those frequencies useful. Thanks for any reports.

Cheers,
