I had a question regarding the KSBP feed.

First off I would like to say how much I appreciate LiveATC and specifically the KSBP feed.

When the feed was first introduced, the feed output was stereo in that both right and left channels had audio.  Also the feed would switch between ground and tower frequency depending on activity.  A couple of months ago for reasons unknown, the feed was changed to only output in the left channel with both ground and tower frequencies playing simultaneously.  Lately the ATIS frequency has been playing simultaneously along with the ground and tower frequencies making it difficult to hear the ground and tower activity.  Is this a problem with the feed or how I'm listening to it?  I would imagine that it was attempted to have the ground and tower frequencies in separate channels like other feeds on LiveATC but for some reason I'm only getting them in one channel.  Is anyone else having this issue?

Thanks for your help!

The ATIS is all I've gotten for the last couple of days. I wrote to liveatc and they will look into it, I guess they will contact the feed provider who is hopefully not on a two week vacation.
I live in San Luis, learned to fly there but now work overseas. This is a great way to follow what is going on back at my home airport. I even recognize the occasional voice!

Alright good to know, thanks!  I also learned to fly here in San Luis but also currently work here.  It's nice to listen to while at work.

Thanks again for the info!

Hey Ben, I'm still unable to hear the tower or ground even if I scroll the balance all the way to the right and get rid of the ATIS which is getting kind of boring. Are you hearing the controllers at all?

Have been listening for some time to SBP feed, and ATIS is still on today, July 9.

I hear the controllers very quietly in the background, and it is not in the ATIS recording, so the tower and ground are still coming through, barely.

I sent them an note through the SBP tower website but have not heard a response.

The change regarding the output mainly on the left was irritating to me too, especially when I listen to it on my iphone.

I am sure just some wires got crossed or something, and hopefully it will be fixed.

Does somebody at the tower provide the feed?
I sure hope it gets fixed soon.

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to contact the feeder via email.  I do not have his phone number.  Will continue trying.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I always thought the feed was supplied buy the tower, not a nearby listener.  Maybe the manager, Dan Meyers set it up?  That is just a guess.

I know he is no longer associated with the tower.

read it here:

I believe a guy named "Mike" supplies the feed as per this topic in LiveATC's forums: http://www.liveatc.net/forums/feed-setup-pictures/ksbp-up-and-running/.  I believe he is away on vacation which is why he has been difficult to contact.

The feed has no association with the tower, with ex-manager Dan, or with the SBPTower website (http://sbptower.weebly.com).

Thanks for getting this back up and running, however I still hear both frequencies (ground and tower) on the same left channel. Is anyone else experiencing this?
