I have a question: listening to the KSFB feed (kindly provided by Biff), I notice that the callsign: "Connection" is used a lot. Is "Connection" referring to the Delta Connection Academy?

Thanks!

That's correct.  You'll also hear a lot of Avion call signs.  That's the other Part 141 school on the field.   And then there's Falcon Flight, which is a Part 61 school.

And on top of that, it's an International Airport with heavies all the way up to 747s.  It's a very busy airport.

Thanks for listening!

Lots of interesting traffic at KSFB without being overwhelming (to the listener).

Thanks for the feed.

I was about to ask the same question but glad I searched first.

Out of curiosity, what is the training fleet that they use?

if its light a/c, would that not be pretty hard to fit in with the heavys in traffic due to approach speeds etc?

nice clear feed, great work!

Thanks!

Avion flys mostly Cessna singles and I think Seminoles and Dutchi for twins.

Mixing in with the heavies isn't really a big deal since we have 3 active runways, with opposite patterns.
