KSFO FEED
« on: April 25, 2006, 12:56:59 AM »
Hey guys,

I was just curious, How does the SFO feed work?  The ground frequency comes through on the right speaker on my computer, and the Tower frequency comes through on the left speaker.  This is absolutly awesome!!! it makes it so convenient to listen to both frequency and they dont cancel each other out.

Is there any chance we can do this with other frequencies???

thanx again for the best site on the web!

peace, Mike

I don’t know exactly how they do this, but my guess is that there are two scanners, one feeds the left channel speaker and the other one feeds the right channel speaker. It is a convenient setup though.

Just a comment here, for airports where two feeds are provided, you could use a program like Winamp to listen.  you can allow multiple instances of the program and open up different feeds, balancing them to either side.

But this isn't a multiple feed.

Look at the other thread about this. It is actually one feed, serving out two separate frequencies: tower in the left, and ground in the right. My feeling is that it is actually the type of scanner, which I believe was mentioned in the other thread. A quick search of the forum for the other SFO feed should get you it (I don't remember what it is off the top of my head).
