Thought I'd take a crack at doing a new logo for LiveATC incorporating the tagline used in the ad banners. It's still a work-in-progress, but I figured I'd post it to get some preliminary feedback.

Comments/criticism appreciated!

Not bad - although I think it would be better if there would be "liveatc.net" instead of just "liveatc."

1st revision based on cactushp's feedback:

CHANGES:
  • Re-styled tower cab. I think this one's more print-friendly and fits better.
  • Added the ".net".
  • Weight of red "ATC" lettering reduced to match the rest of the text.

I think the tower cab above the letter I could be just a bit more authentic.  To me the one you have looks like older Chinese  architecture.  Recall that a tower cab typically has very high windows, as seen below, not multiple stories with low windows:

Good start, however.

I like it - been trying to come up with a design for some time...but other priorities constantly take me away from that.  And I'm no artist.  smiley

I like the red. It makes the logo stand out - which is never a bad thing smiley

Just think, Dave:  Logo-inscribed tee-shirts, baseball caps, mouse pads, coffee mugs, bumper stickers, etc!  The money is in the merchandise, as Walt Disney so perfectly demonstrated.

Right...CafePress.com has made a nice business out of this.

I'll contact the banner creator offline.  Thanks for all the feedback.

In taking a second look at the now authentic tower on top of the "I," could it be a little bigger?
