LOT 767 makes belly landing in Warsaw

Fantastic landing. What I was also impressed with is how immediately the crew started emptying the plane. The rear door opens three seconds after full-stop, and people are on the pavement ten seconds later! The biggest delay is the chute inflating!

They all performed really well - inside and outside the aircraft. It certainly helped that they all had more than enough time to prepare.

Also great: 2:15 minutes after full stop, they had three (!) busses arriving. Can't complain about the service!

Nice find Whuts! I had to watch and listen very closely to tell when the plane touched down, and the only thing I noticed was that people applauded. No sound of scraping or screaming!

   Yup! >>> Light of day, home airport >>> And low on fuel ( good idea for belly landing ). Plus repairs by home mechanics and land at a very familiar airport, familiar language, familiar procedures and company and company mechanics ( who are familiar with that specific aircraft ) on-line for advice. All in all putting everything possible in favor of a successful landing! Which turned out to be the case.
   Worked out to be good aeronautical decision making on the PICs part.
