I've been listening to this sight for years, but never really anything to say or hear about an accident,  until the Airbus landing in the Hudson. That was interesting!  Now I'm hooked

I am one of the newbies. I heard about this site by way of an AP article. I would like to express my thanks to all of you for allowing me to listen. This site has renewed my interest in getting my pilots lic.

I must admit I was not aware of ATC.net until the tragedy near Buffalo.  I am not a pilot, but am fascinated by flying.  After listening for several days I have come to greatly admire and respect the competence, the cooperation, and even the trust between controllers and pilots.  To know that all involved are dealing with a reportedly outdated control system is almost overwhelming. My compliments to all fliers and those who shepherd them.

Hey all!

I am a lurker for a looong time! I am completely into aviation and aeronautics.

I have been tuning into my local feed (KLAX) for quiet some time.

The reason I did not post before is because I do not know much to contribute to the discussions. I generally read the threads pretty much every day though.

As a side note, the ATC at KLAX are discussing bird conditions with the pilots! Interesting!
