Tuesday and Wednesday night when the site came up, around 18:00hrs AEDT.

Not long after I posted the message I got contact.

PS Thanks for providing a most enjoyable service. Together with Seattle Twr I believe Melbourne is not only the clearest but also has has good , diverse traffic volumes.

Flyer99, I work in IT, we have 5 Commercial Pilots whom I have introduced to this site,
we area all interested  in your set up. If you ever need any help with your internet/PC
we will gladly offer our help. I would like to know what Scanner you use and if you are in the industry. Our back ground is flying 414's and DC 3's out of Darwin, traffic reporting for MMM out of Melb and lots of local Flying out of Moorabbin

Our back ground is aviation, I work for IAG Insurance, as a senior IT Project Manager, my earlier career was in aviation, but with the pilots strike, poor economy I had to diverse. The same with my 5 colleagues. All GA back ground, poor job prospects children and mortgages, diversity and income is the priority. Age catches up, you wish you were younger but the passion for flying doesn't diminish .

Melbourne Australia-Clipping and static
« Reply #9 on: February 01, 2007, 12:49:21 AM »
Flyer99
At present 01-02-2007 16.48 there is constant clipping and static even from the tower frequencies. A gentle tweak of the squelch may help.

Best wishes Peter West

Reception is loud and clear, by far the best Australian site. It is better than most sites world wide for clarity. Once again thanks for the great service
