Hope this is OK with the admins..please remove if not.
Ive set up a new streaming cam which shows the ocassional airplane taking off from EGNM.
Please check it out and give me reports on quality etc. It only takes seven connections at once so please be patient..plus its not on all the time..will show offline if its down

I tried, but it didn't want to connect. It's a good idea though. I am creating a new website for aviation in my city and one of the things I want to do is eventually provide a live webcam, but I don't know how to do it. I think the airport would have to provide a phone line, and I would have to provide a camera with a built in server. Anyway, I'll try again later, I'd like to see it.

Thanks for trying Chris. I dont have it on 24/7 unfortunately, as it consumes a bit of bandwidth.
Next time I put it up I'll try to do it at the weekend so I can monitor the connection..if it drops the connection I have to reset it, and I cant do that at work. An IP camera (netcam) is one that would work of course as they have their own IP adress. But they are a bit out of my pocket at the moment!
I'll try to let you know when I'm next putting it up.
Regards
Steve

At 13:52z your cam is coming through just fine for my pitifull dial-up connection and the ATIS audio is also very good. What particular view of the airport is this webcam capturing? I mean which runways for departure and arrival should we be seeing?

Cheers

Jane

Thanks for the feedback Jane.
The cam is looking toward the Runway32/14 configuration, and is pointing roughly in the direction of southeast (about 100 degrees). You cant actually see the runway as it is just behind the hill, about 500 yards away.
