KDEN feeds now include Public Safety & Field Ops
« on: September 25, 2012, 09:34:10 AM »
A Public Safety / Field Ops feed has been added. This is an EDACS trunked system, so you will hear a short beep anytime the user's PTT is released.
While not very busy most of the time, this is where you'll want to listen once any A/C that has "declared", has landed. Also, KDEN has un-intentionally become a busy stop for many transcon flights with unruly passengers. Lastly, from October through April, snowstorms can sweep across the airport, and the feed will get very busy, but don't worry - no snowplow talkgroups are being scanned...

Also:
While the radio system monitored for this feed is a dedicated one, just for Denver International Airport, Denver Police and Fire have the ability to "patch"  to it with their City radio system. What this means is that from time to time, you may hear high priority (i.e. - serious crimes in progress) Citywide calls simulcast on this feed.
If you have any questions, please feel free to post them to this thread or PM me.
