Sleeping controller at KTYS

Not as serious as the incident at DCA, but still...


Nationwide review by FAA after KDCA sleeping controller incident led to the discovery of another controller caught sleeping while on duty in the radar room of McGhee Tyson's control tower Feb. 19, leaving another controller in tower to handle radar and traffic control duties and assist seven aircraft in a five-hour period. All the aircraft landed safely .
