Only hear one side?
« on: February 26, 2016, 12:08:11 AM »
So I am a student pilot and my CFI just informed me of this site. Its great but all my local streams seem to only have the tower / approach side of things. Do any of the streams contain both sides of the conversation?

Weird, after listening for about 30 minutes I JUST heard one plane .....the rest is just a one sided convo....but that one pilot comes through loud and clear. Maybe I can't hear the commercial airline responses?

What feed are you listening to? There are many many streams on this site, most highly active with both sides of the conversation. Depending on what stream you are tuned to, it may be that its a combined sector at slow times.

I am listening to Buffalo International Tower / Approach. The problem isn't that im not hearing anyone....its that i hear tower and approach talking / responding but only like 10 percent of the pilots responses. so most of the time it sounds like the tower / approach is talking to him / her self

We now have 3 feeds for Buffalo - try one of the others. Some feeds have limited reception range due to obstacles, terrain, and a number of other factors.
