pilot looking to improve her radio communications

I am a pilot from Texas who has taken a job in Germany flying. I am a new listener hoping to improve my radio communications. I have difficulty understanding some controllers due to accents, as I am sure many have a difficult time with mine.Lol

Well, good news. The accent at first will seem difficult. I know I had some trouble adjusting to a REAL french accent when  I moved back to Belgium. But you get used to it. Just like you get used to nearly anything.

I suggest you listen to some European ATC, EHAM etc... I perfer Gander/shanwick on HF.

You also need to take into account the fact that this is streamed over the net and compresion and such are occuring.

Best of luck.

Try listening to the HF Atlantic Feed. It is the very first one at the top of the list. Here you will hear every accent on international flights.  :D
