Yep, got a call last week about the two shows from my father-in-law, who is also an aviation enthusiast.   The shows are scheduled for prime time hours on the National Geographic channel with another running overnight for the DVR crowd (for those in the US timezones).  I have my DVR set up to record the two shows overnight.

Oh man. I really want to watch this, but being in the UK it means I won't be able to.
Unless someone records it onto their computer? Ahem.

Both of them were pretty decent. Thought the AF1 special was the better of the 2.

I enjoyed the AF1 program except for one item....While landing in Iraq the bogus radio traffic in the background would be from Washington center or Dulles approach.

The footage of VM1 doing practice approaches at the White House was interesting.

Don't want to bring the tone of the site down, but is there anywhere this is available for those of us in the UK? A download or....As mentioned above, someone's recorded it?

The speed reached of 630mph I think was impressive for AF1.  Also the fact that they always land irrespective of weather, although this probably is within limits.  I would be curious to see bad weather landing.

Unfortunately the copyright laws are pretty strict in the US, even for television shows, so I don't think it is something that can be shared in that manner.

Hopefully the show will be run by a UK-network for you across the pond.

RPD, I noticed it in the Marine 1 show too. They were taking off from Quantico and you heard a familiar JFK controller running traffic on the 31's. They probably couldve done without the ATC chatter dubbed in. I also thought the approach into the White House was pretty sweet. They really make it look easier than it is.
