More from AP:

Sep 9, 3:49 PM EDT

Passengers freed from hijacked plane in Mexico

MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Passengers have been freed from a hijacked airplane in Mexico City, but the crew remains aboard. Passenger Adriana Romero told the Televisa network that all passengers have been released unharmed from the Cancun-to-Mexico City flight, Aeromexico Flight 576, but the crew is still being held hostage.

The airplane is sitting on the runway at Mexico City's international airport. The airport remains open.

Mexican news media report the hijackers are three Bolivian citizens who are demanding to talk with Mexican President Felipe Calderon, though Romero says she saw only one hijacker.

Mexican network TV Azteca says the plane was carrying 104 passengers.

someone beat me on that one too

WE DON´T SPEAK MEXICANNNN

ít´s a mix of spanish, english with aeronautical terms and some times they are not standard, because there are some ATCOs that use some of their own like C (charlie) they say COCA (like COCA COLA) and that makes me wonder ...

kidnapping (in this case peoplanepping = to kidnap a plane full of people?) is a MAJOR offense, you can get up to 70 years in jail, that guy is in jail now.

plane was taken at Cancun, flew over DUPLO fix and veracruz then turn left to APAN fix (here I could have been of help, bacause they flew north of here, on APP to MMMX, but as you know PBC was out) then it landed.

sorry, I could have been of help if my feed (PUEBLA) was up at the time... angry
