i was listening to KDTW Detroit Metro, when a plane called in reporting a passenger that was having troulble breathing and chest pains.. and requested emergency services to respond to the terminal when approached.

This is pretty regular thing that happens well i know for a fact in Perth we get at least two or three a week!

This is quite a regular occurance.  If you ever see the Sporty's Instrument Rating Course, first DVD, (Instrument Flying Fundamentals) the intro IFR flight has an airline with a medical emergency and shows how ATC vectored him to a runway more accessable for it.
