Profile position designators
« on: July 02, 2007, 02:19:26 PM »

I've been looking, but I can't find the answer.

What are the different levels of positions for member profiles, and how are they decided?

Like 'newbie'.  Obviously those are new members, but what do the stars and all those other names mean?

Peace

They're simply automated, customizable ranks based on number of posts.  They're still set at the board defaults and probably won't be touched for a while.

Rank                Stars                  Posts Required
Newbie                *                                0
Jr. Member           **                              50
Full Member          ***                            100
Sr. Member          ****                           250
Hero Member        *****                         500

I figured it was something like that.

So that means I can become a hero by making 500 worthless posts, right?

Don't worry.  I'm just kidding.  Nothing I posted could EVER be considered worthless.

Yeah, even the stupid stuff is good for a laugh.   :-D

But, on a serious note, Trixie--did you retire when you'd always planned to, or did the IWRs play a part? Just curious...

(My apologies for going off topic, but Jason has already fully answered the question asked.)

IRWs   :?

I lost my medical clearance.  I'm in remission, sort of, but you never know.  The shift work really played havoc on me.

The FAA's IWRs, "Imposed Work Rules". But, you did answer the question.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your medical. I hope everything works out. And I know all about the shift work; my wife is an ATC. It's not an easy life...
