Question for RJTT feed listeners

Hi,

First of all sorry that I cannot feed that often and hope you enjoy listening to the way things are done at Haneda .

I was listening to the feed and depending on the time of day it occured to me that scanning so many frequencies provides a somewhat messy experience for the listener. As a trial I have cut back the feed to the two tower frequencies and to my ears it sounds a lot better. 

I would like to hear what you think.

I always enjoy listening to Haneda. Are you using different equipment than before? Your feed sounds much better now.

Hi Ken and Rae,

Thanks for your comments. Ken what I have done is change the antenna I was using. I am getting better results from the antenna that I normally use to feed my SBS-1 unit.  I do not know the technicalities of it but this antenna is meant to be set up specifically for 1090MHZ so was surprised that the reception on VHF was so good.

i personally prefer the multifrequency setting better. i used it to practice
jap r/t procedures and accent. i have found clearence delivery as well as
arr/dep frequencies better suited from the pilot perspective..
maybe you would  have an old recording with the old setting for download?
i tried the archive, but it seems only your recent configuration
is stored.
anyway great to have a feed from the island, thanks.

Hi KTEB,

Thanks for your input. Due to other priorities I can only now really feed on most weekends. I am feeding all the frequencies now for the next hour * Tues Jan 27 12.58UTC onwards so you should be able to find this in the archive soon. The last flight out has already departed so you will not hear any clearance.

As for the future of the feed I will just change it depending on the volume of traffic and the reception I can get. As a general rule if I am feeding either early morning or late at night Tokyo local time then you will have a better chance of hearing all the frequencies.
