i was out at the beach (in the ocean beach area of san francisco) a few months back, right after the oil spill in the bay.
while i was out there, i saw a 747 flying up and down the coast, very low. the plane didn't seem to have any markings, it was just a white plane. it flew past us, south to north and then back in front of us a few minutes later to the south. then it came back again. finally, it flew north and we didn't see it again.
anybody have any guess what this might have been?
when i say it was flying low, i am thinking it might have been 500 ft off the water. it was LOUD coming overhead. and it was maybe a quarter mile out from the beach.
