Raspberry Pi + RTL-SDR, FM+DAB, DVB-T USB Stick setup?
« on: July 10, 2015, 11:22:43 PM »
Hello,

I wanted to get a RTL-SDR, FM+DAB, DVB-T USB Stick for setting up a FlightRadar feed. I was wondering if I can also use it for streaming MSP ATC for Live ATC?

You can use a DVB-T dongle to stream voice communications to us, but not at the same time as sending radar data.  You can use a pair of dongles...one for radar and one for comms, however.

Currently I have it feeding data to FlightRadar24 and Flight Aware. So if I want to stream audio, do I need to get another one of them?

Yes, you would need a second dongle to stream air comms.  The radar dongle is dedicated to tuning the radar-related frequencies and can't be used for both simultaneously.
