Any hints on recording some of the live online feeds ?

Please check out the archive page.  Most of (it not all) feeds are archived (recorded) for 7 days automatically.

If you're looking to record live feed from your own scanner, try this:
http://www.davee.com/scanrec/

Otherwise, for existing online feeds - the archive is great!  If you need to edit/cat them together try Audacity.  :)

I was so close to suggesting connecting an auxilary cable to your speaker output, but this is MUCH better looking and much better quality, if my eMac could install something like that.

I don't know if this will help, I listen to the feeds with Winamp, and I downloaded the plugin for streaming live audio and it's great.

The archives are also great resource for this.

Tomato, I use this http://streamripper.sourceforge.net/ plugin. I think this is the default stream ripper from winamp, and it's really handy. It's only 915 kb and it doesn't use the ram that much.

Regards.
