Just wanted to give a quick, positive, rant about the new BWI feed added:

THANK YOU! Cheesy The feed is extremely clear, but what I love most about it is that it's one frequency! It's frustrating to sometimes be "following" a flight on LiveATC and then a new frequency cuts over it, so I'm a fan of these "one frequency" feeds.

Thanks again to whoever the sponsor is, looking forward to listening!

Glad you like them... the entire system was funded by a volunteer, and installed by LiveATC.  The total cost of the system - PC, scanners, antenna, cable, splitters, etc was almost $2,000.

The machine is located at AvDyne AeroServices, www.avdyne.com, on the field at BWI.

Here are all the feeds for those that are interested:

Having the option to listen to one feed (my preffered method) or combined is nice.  The quality of the individual feeds is very good also.....

Thanks for the BWI feed

Thought I would let the feeder know however if he or she reads this, your scanner is stuck on Tower with a open squelch and I can only hear the tower and never the planes ? sad

Hope you can get this fixed.....I get bored out of my mind listening to only one frequency, so thanks for scanning all the channels on one feed (my preferred method) !

LOL

Update to my last post sorry about that it was only a stuck mike.............WOW it went on for over 30 min!!!!!!!

Unknown why the tower took so long to say anything

Don't think I would want to fly there!!!!   huh

Anyway I still cant hear any of the planes only the controllers............  I hate to be the one to report the bad news for a new feed, I for one knows what it feels like to have listeniners complain

Thats why I am in no rush to multi feed  (more on that in another thread)

Are you listening to kbwi_twr?  I can hear both aircraft and controllers, just as well as always.

They rarely ever run all sectors de-combined. At PCT they usually always combine sectors just like most facilities thanks to staffing. You just have to pick the right feed for the aircraft. I think (atleast when I listen) FN and FS are combined and the aircraft are usually on FN.

When finals are combined , it is at South (119.7).  When it is combined, listening to North (119.0) would most likely result in hearing the controller only.  The frequency is still keyed up, but all the aircraft are assigned 119.7.
