Hey guys:

Does anyone know the time lag when listening on a frequency on atc.net?

There is no "time lag" If anything maybe a second or two only because of bandwidth speeds compression and other factors.

Sat out on the ramp one Saturday at KSLC and listened to the feed while at work.  There was about a 2-3 minute delay for me.

By the time I had heard a jet cleared for takeoff, he had already taken off and was out of sight.

I have always been under the impression it was around 90 seconds (give or take).  I've never tested it though.

The software you use to listen to the stream may also be buffering the audio.

When I listen to my feed while sitting next to the scanner that feeds it I only notice 1 or 2 seconds of delay.
