They just had a complete power failure, giving out holding clearances.  Anyone know what's up?

at least I heard the runway 05/06L lights are out for a while.. comm failure for a brief moment.. (heard pilot calling but no answer) around 11:30pm (EST)..  Tower advising after the lights went back on (for 06L) that the lights are unstable and advice the pilot to use caution.

strange and probably unrelated.. and now liveatc feeds are all 'down'.. I saw 0 listeners for all the feeds in the top ten list..  have to turn on my scanner now..   rolleyes

I guess no updates on this?  I heard this as well... I'm surprised they don't have a more rugged power redundant system, though to be honest I have no clue what they have.  Imagine lighting flares and lining them all the way down the runway in some flare-holder so they don't blow away when the jet engines come rumbling by!  Cool
