Many thanks first of all to those that provide feeds and clips to listen too!!! They are awesome! I m not a pilot, but just an enthusiast on aviation. I know some terminology and whatnot, but even I knew enough to look things up. Look at this news story.  http://www.suburbanchicagonews.com/heraldnews/news/1433380,joliet-Pilot-questioned-Secret-Service-jo021609.article

JOLIET — Secret Service agents on Saturday interviewed a pilot who landed at Joliet Regional Airport after he violated flight restrictions in place for President Barack Obama's visit to Chicago.

The violation appeared to be "inadvertent," Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said Monday.

"It's not of protective interest to us," Donovan said of the incident, which occurred at about 5 p.m.

The incident caused a stir in Joliet and surrounding towns, however, when people heard the rumbling of a military jet and then saw it circling in the sky. Apparently, the jet followed the airplane

The link appears first, but I'd figure I would copy the short story in case the link goes bad soon.

KJOT is about 20-30 NM away from Chicago proper so the recent VIP TFR covered alot of area. I have one question to anyone that caould please answer: Did the "restricted" airspace mean that if you lived in an airpark, you could not just up and go whenever you wanted, or did you have to first file you flight plan and then go? It did seem quiet "up" there this past weekend. I do live close to KJOT so there are lot of private 150's and such around.

Thanks and keep up the good feeds all!!
