Had a friend en route to vegas this evening, plane diverted and landed in Albuquerque, NM.  Anyone know what happened? Heard anything on the feeds?

It happened around 7? or was that when they diverted?

Also, where was he flying from? What airline? the more info the easier to try and find any info.  I cant' find a reference to any incidents around that time at ABQ

Sorry about the lack of info, still trying to piece it together.  I briefly spoke to my friend (who is still partying in Vegas), who said they hear some kind of "pop" and the plane started to decend a bit, but not at a dangerous rate.  That was when they diverted to ABQ.  More to come!

I listened to the ABQ archive from 1830 to 1930 local time and nothing on the feeds regarding any kind of inbound emergency.  If  you can get more specific info, flight number and actual time it happened (and what time zone it's in reference to, I can try and find the incident in the archives.)  Though nothing in any news source that I can see, which, if a plane lost an engine, I'd imagine it wouldv'e been reported at least somewhere.

:? Figured out the UTC times, but all I hear is a pesky KINGAIR (lifeguard) causing all traffic to monitor (visual / tcas) but nothing about a diverted airplane... The controller was in a very good mood sending everyone to TEXACO (gas station?)
